These days I am a little sentimental, as in 2018 on this date I hosted my first event featuring Inland, Andy Chiu, Lucas Vazz and X tin! It was definitely a night to remember, and since we are not able to dance together anytime soon, I wanted to give you a little something to remind you that we are still here and the amount of amazing music and talented artists is never-ending and we will be back together on the dancefloor soon!!!

Mario Manara also known as MNR is an Italian DJ based in Berlin. He first got interested in electronic music in 2015, when he started actively being part of the electronic music scene in Catania. He was often visiting the club ‘’Afrobar’’, which was and still is the most important place for techno in Catania. In typical Italian fashion, Mario quickly made contacts in the scene and had the chance to start playing and practicing the craft of DJing. This was the moment, when he realized that he would love to get deeper into the culture, the music and the scene and make his contribution.

With a big dedication, determination and deriving inspiration from artists like Osacr Mulero, Svreca, Function, and Kr!z to name a few, Mario quickly learned and his talent was immediately recognized by the ‘’Afrobar’’ club programming team. They started booking him for warm up or closing sets around their main acts. MNR had the chance to play alongside DJs such as Marcel Dettmann and Parish Smith. Soon after this, he was booked all over Catania for different events!

Two years ago, Mario decided to make a move towards Berlin and put his DJ plans forward. Since then, he has been learning and developing his taste and DJ style and artist identity beyond what was imaginable in Italy. In 2019, he joined the SEHNSUCHT Kollective as a resident in Milan, where he had the chance to play their most recent event this past February in Milan. The idea behind SEHNSUCHT is offering new up and coming artists the space and crowd to express themselves. As part of the collective, he also goes under the Meinoon alias together with Luca. Meinoon performed once in Berlin at BASEMENT, but unfortunately, due to the current global situation all further events are cancelled.
